The Tale of Marc Martel and His Song Before Céline

In the year two thousand and four and twenty, upon the six and twentieth day of February, was sung a song most wondrous — Somebody to Love — by Marc Martel, son of Canada, whose voice doth echo the immortal tones of Freddie Mercury, late prince of rock.

Long have many troupes roamed the earth in tribute to Queen, the great band of yore. Yet one above all shineth brightest: Queen Extravaganza, a company blessed by the very hands of Roger Taylor the drummer and Brian May the string-sorcerer. And at their helm stood Martel, born in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and seventy-six, whose craft was first nurtured in the soil of Christian rock.

Lo, when Marc Martel lifted his voice in that sacred hymn, Somebody to Love, before the lady Céline Dion, the hall was struck with awe. Dion herself, songstress of renown, was moved to the depths of her soul, and all who beheld proclaimed: “Freddie himself would be proud.” Upon the scrolls of YouTube this performance spread like fire in dry grass, winning more than thirty thousand marks of favor.

Of the Band and Its Purpose

Unlike many who don the garments and mannerisms of Mercury for show alone, Queen Extravaganza seeketh not mere mimicry, but the pure flame of musicianship. Their charge is to unite both elder devotees and younglings newly come to the songs, in honor of the music eternal.

Since their founding in the month of May in the year two thousand and twelve, they have trod upon many famed stages: the Grand Théâtre de Québec, the Plaza Live of Orlando, and the Usher Hall of Edinburgh. Their first unveiling upon American Idol was witnessed by twenty and two million souls, a testament to their might.

Of Martel’s New Journey

Yet in the year of our Lord two thousand and seventeen, Martel parted ways with Queen Extravaganza to embark upon a venture of his own, called the Ultimate Queen Celebration. Across Australia, New Zealand, and the wide lands of North America he journeyed, carrying with him the torch of Queen’s undying spirit. And still doth he ride forth, with new concerts in Sydney, Melbourne, and Christchurch, bringing thunderous remembrance of Mercury’s majesty to all corners of the world.

Thus is told the tale of Marc Martel, the voice-twin of Freddie, whose song awakens both memory and marvel, and whose devotion keeps ever alive the glory of Queen.
