Bruno Mars’ Nephews Nyjah and Zyah Release “Heartbeat” Video After AGT Breakthrough

Bruno Mars’ teenage nephews, Nyjah and Zyah, are turning their America’s Got Talent moment into something bigger after officially releasing the music video for their original song “Heartbeat.”

The brothers, who perform as Nyjah Music and Zyah Rhythm, first caught national attention when they auditioned on America’s Got Talent Season 21 with the same original song. Their smooth harmonies, relaxed confidence, and old-school sound quickly made them one of the standout young acts of the season.

Nyjah, 16, and Zyah, 15, are the sons of Tahiti Hernandez-Kemper, one of Bruno Mars’ sisters. People reported that the brothers are part of the same musical family tree that shaped Bruno’s own rise, but they did not make their famous uncle the focus of their AGT audition.

That choice became one of the most talked-about parts of their story. Instead of walking onto the stage with a famous name attached, the brothers introduced themselves through their voices and their own original music.

Their AGT performance of “Heartbeat” earned yeses from all four judges and sent them through to the next round. Howie Mandel praised them as memorable, while Simon Cowell told them that talent speaks for itself.

The performance worked because it did not feel forced. Nyjah and Zyah looked young, but their sound carried the kind of polish and calm that made viewers feel they had been preparing for that moment for years.

Their family background explains some of that natural musical connection. Bruno Mars grew up in a household filled with music, and his siblings also pursued music through projects like The Lylas, while his brother Eric became part of Bruno’s band, the Hooligans.

Now, Nyjah and Zyah are continuing that legacy in their own way. Their stage names, vocals, and original songs show that they are not simply relying on a family connection, but trying to build a lane of their own.

The official music video for “Heartbeat” was released shortly after their AGT appearance and quickly began gaining attention online. The video gives fans a fuller version of the song beyond the audition stage and presents the brothers as young artists ready for a real career, not just a viral TV moment.

The song has also been released on streaming platforms as a single by Nyjah Music and Zyah Rhythm. That matters because it shows the brothers are already turning AGT exposure into an official music rollout.

Fans have also pointed out that the new version feels more complete than the audition performance. With a fresh arrangement and a polished visual presentation, “Heartbeat” now sounds less like a television audition and more like the start of a serious artist launch.

The brothers had already built musical momentum before AGT. People reported that they previously appeared alongside Bruno Mars on a cover of Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love” for the 2025 live-action Lilo & Stitch movie.

That earlier collaboration gave them a major credit, but AGT gave them something different: a chance to be judged without leading with their uncle’s name. For many viewers, that made their audition feel even more impressive.

Their ages have also become part of the excitement. At just 15 and 16, Nyjah and Zyah already have the harmonies, confidence, and musical identity that many artists spend years trying to find.

For Bruno Mars fans, the connection is impossible to ignore. But for Nyjah and Zyah, “Heartbeat” is beginning to prove they may have their own story to tell — one that started with a family legacy, but is now moving toward a future that belongs fully to them.
