Hannah Harper’s journey from American Idol contestant to country music’s biggest stages is moving quickly.
Just months after winning American Idol Season 24, Harper found herself standing beside Brad Paisley in Connecticut, performing one of the most emotional songs in his catalog before thousands of country music fans.
The memorable moment happened on August 27 at the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, Connecticut, during the opening stop of the latest stretch of Paisley’s 2026 tour.
Harper had already performed her own opening set earlier that evening, but she wasn’t finished.
Later in Paisley’s show, the familiar opening of “Whiskey Lullaby” began.
The song was originally recorded by Paisley with Alison Krauss and became one of the defining collaborations of his career, reaching No. 3 on the country chart and earning major recognition after its release.
But this time, Alison Krauss wasn’t the voice joining him.
Hannah Harper walked onto the stage.

Whether the “Whiskey Lullaby” duet eventually leads to another collaboration, a recording opportunity or simply remains a special tour moment is not yet known.
But one thing is already clear.

And on Thursday night in Connecticut, Brad Paisley gave her one of the strongest opportunities yet to demonstrate that she belongs there.
