The estate has now announced that DOLLYFEST will take place across two weekends in 2027, with celebrations planned in Nashville and London. Specific dates, venues and performers have not yet been announced.
Nozell explained that the festival feels more authentic to Parton than a solemn memorial service. Rather than asking fans to gather for a traditional ceremony, the event will give artists and admirers an opportunity to celebrate her music and the joy she brought to millions.
That does not mean other tributes are being discouraged. Fans, musicians and communities around the world are free to honor Parton in their own ways, while her estate allows those spontaneous celebrations to happen naturally.
