“The Voice” is going big for its milestone 30th season, starting with a packed premiere week. NBC has confirmed that the competition returns Monday, September 21, 2026, with a two-hour premiere beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
And viewers won’t have to wait a full week for more. A second episode airs Tuesday, September 22, followed by another new episode on Wednesday, September 23, with both one-hour shows beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
Once the three-night launch is over, the schedule becomes easier to follow. “The Voice” will settle into two-hour Monday episodes, initially starting at 8 p.m. ET before moving to a 9 p.m. ET start in November.
For viewers who prefer streaming, new episodes will also be available the following day on Peacock. Peacock confirms that Season 30 officially premieres September 21 at 8/7c on NBC.
But the premiere schedule isn’t the biggest news longtime fans should know about. Executive producer Audrey Morrissey has confirmed that Season 30 will bring back six weeks of live shows, a major return after Season 29 featured no live episodes at all.
That means viewers will once again have a much bigger role in deciding who stays. Rather than using an overnight voting period, Season 30 will feature real-time voting, with the results determining which Artists advance revealed during the same night’s broadcast.
There’s also a fresh combination of familiar and new faces in the red chairs. Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine return as Coaches, while Queen Latifah and Riley Green make their coaching debuts, with Carson Daly continuing as host.
The new group appears to have found its chemistry quickly. Levine said the four Coaches “just clicked” during their first meetings, and their very different musical backgrounds should make the battles to recruit standout Artists particularly interesting.
Even the Blind Auditions are getting a noticeable shake-up. Season 30 removes the familiar Block and replaces it with a new First-In Button, turning the race to be the first Coach to recognize an Artist into an actual competitive advantage.
Each Coach gets to use that First-In advantage only once. If a Coach really was the first to turn and uses the button, that Artist automatically joins their team, removing the usual opportunity for other Coaches to win the singer over with their pitches.
Fans will have another new way to participate once the live competition begins. Morrissey confirmed that TikTok is being added as a voting option, while the six-week live stretch will be the longest run of live shows “The Voice” has offered in five years.
So Season 30 isn’t simply returning with a new group of Coaches. Between the three-night premiere, six weeks of live competition, real-time voting, First-In Button and expanded fan participation, NBC is mixing new ideas with parts of the format longtime viewers will recognize. It all begins September 21 on NBC, followed by new episodes September 22 and 23.
