Kelly Osbourne has shared a heartfelt tribute following the death of her father, legendary rocker Ozzy Osbourne, calling him her “best friend.”
The iconic Black Sabbath frontman passed away on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76—just weeks after a powerful final performance in his hometown of Birmingham.
That night at Villa Park was more than a concert. It was a farewell steeped in history and love. With his original Black Sabbath bandmates by his side and rock legends like Ronnie Wood, Metallica, and Guns N’ Roses in attendance, Ozzy delivered his final show surrounded by family, fans, and friends. Few realized it would be the last time the Prince of Darkness would take the stage.

For Kelly, the night was deeply personal. Backstage, she got engaged to her longtime partner, Slipknot’s Sid Wilson. What was a celebration of family, legacy, and music is now etched in memory as a final, bittersweet goodbye.
In an emotional Instagram post, Kelly expressed her grief by quoting lyrics from her 2003 duet with Ozzy, a cover of Black Sabbath’s “Changes”:
“I feel unhappy, I am so sad. I lost the best friend I ever had.”
She added a broken heart emoji—a quiet but powerful symbol of her loss.
Kelly and Ozzy’s bond was well-known and deeply cherished by fans. Their relationship, with all its humor and honesty, was a cornerstone of The Osbournes, the MTV reality show that aired from 2002 to 2005. More recently, they reunited on a family podcast alongside Sharon and Jack, continuing to share their lives with the world.

The Osbourne family released an official statement:
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
While no cause of death has been announced, Ozzy had faced ongoing health challenges in recent years, including a Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2019 and complications from previous injuries.
Ozzy Osbourne’s passing marks the end of an era—not just for rock music, but for a family that always stood together in the spotlight and in the shadows. His legacy lives on through his music, his indelible presence in pop culture, and the enduring love of his daughter, Kelly.
His voice may be gone, but his echo will never fade.
