Kym Johnson once laughed off the idea of more children, telling interviewers, “Maybe if we were younger.” She and billionaire husband Robert Herjavec, already parents to twins Hudson and Haven, believed that chapter had closed. At 44 and 57, life was busy, full, and deeply satisfying. But as they’ve just learned, some stories have unexpected encores.
In a surprise that stunned even themselves, the former Dancing with the Stars pro and the Shark Tank mogul recently welcomed their third child — a healthy baby girl. The news, kept private for months, has now touched hearts worldwide. Fans flooded social media with joy after the couple shared a simple black-and-white photo of tiny fingers curled around Robert’s thumb, captioned: “Sometimes the best surprises come wrapped in pink.”

For years, Kym and Robert fielded questions about growing their family. The answer was always the same: no. “We missed the boat,” Kym would say with a smile. But that all changed the day she held a positive pregnancy test in her hand. “We just stared at each other — stunned, then laughing, then crying,” Robert recalled. “It was one of those moments where the world stops and you realize how lucky you are.”
Instead of announcing the pregnancy to the world, they chose a quieter path. “I wanted to savor every moment, just the two of us,” Kym explained. “We’d been through the public whirlwind before — this time we wanted it intimate, magical.” Watching Kym carry their daughter at 44, Robert said, “She was radiant. Brave. Completely unstoppable.”
Their daughter’s arrival was pure emotion. On a quiet Sunday morning, her first cry filled the delivery room — and filled Robert’s eyes with tears. “Time froze,” he said. “I was holding this little miracle thinking, ‘How did we get so lucky again?’” Kym added, “She came into the world surrounded by love. This is our encore.”
The twins, now 7, are already doting older siblings, having spent months talking and singing to their baby sister before she was born. Friends, family, and even fellow DWTS and Shark Tank alumni have celebrated the news. “Never say never,” wrote one friend. “You’ve proved magic doesn’t care about age.”

While they know they’re not the “typical” new parents, Kym and Robert are embracing their unique journey. “There’s no perfect time, only perfect moments,” Kym said. “If you think it’s too late, maybe it’s not.” For now, they’re soaking in sleepless nights, tiny giggles, and the joy of a life they never planned — but will never forget.
