Alec Baldwin has gone viral after cameras caught his deadpan reaction to wife Hilaria’s sizzling Dancing With the Stars debut. The 67-year-old actor sat stone-faced in the ballroom audience as his 41-year-old wife performed a fiery Cha Cha with pro partner Gleb Savchenko, 42, to Jennifer Lopez’s hit Let’s Get Loud.
Hilaria, a yoga instructor and mom of seven, made her big return to dancing after 16 years, sharing in her opening segment that she had once walked away from her passion after breaking her hip. “This was her life until she got injured, so she’s just going to give it everything she has. I’m proud of her, very proud of her,” Alec said during rehearsals.
But when it came time for the performance itself, fans noticed something else: Alec’s serious expression. The Oscar winner didn’t crack a smile as the camera panned to him after the routine, even as the ballroom erupted in applause.
Twitter quickly lit up. “Alec Baldwin looks pissed lmao,” one viewer wrote. Another joked, “His wife serves a steamy Cha Cha on national TV and he looks like he just got a text from his lawyer.” A third quipped, “Alec Baldwin looks so enthused to be here.”
Hilaria’s dance itself earned mixed reviews. Judge Derek Hough praised her sharp footwork, calling it “the best Cha Cha I’ve ever seen from a mother of seven.” Bruno Tonioli added he couldn’t wait to see what she would bring next. The judges scored her a respectable 14 out of 20.
Still, fans online had doubts about her future on the show. “Even though she has experience and she was good, she ain’t gonna win,” one wrote. Others bluntly predicted, “Please let’s send Hilaria home.”
The playful banter didn’t end there. At one point during rehearsals, Alec jokingly asked to “cut in” — but instead of dancing with his wife, he turned to Gleb, prompting Hilaria to quip, “I think they hired the wrong Baldwin.”
Despite the viral moment, Hilaria admitted she was overwhelmed with gratitude. “It’s very emotional,” she told host Julianne Hough after the performance. “This is a dream come true.”
