Bruno Mars’ Nephews Impress AGT Judges With Original Song and Surprising Family Connection

Teen brothers Nyjah Music and Zyah Rhythm made a strong first impression on America’s Got Talent with a performance that immediately caught the judges’ attention. The Hawaii-born duo stepped onto the stage with confidence, smooth harmonies, and an original song that helped show they are serious about building their own musical identity.

Nyjah and Zyah, ages 15 and 16, performed their original track “Heartbeat” during the June 9 episode of America’s Got Talent. From the moment they began singing, their chemistry as brothers became one of the strongest parts of the audition.

Their voices blended naturally, giving the performance a polished sound that felt far beyond their age. The judges responded warmly, and the brothers earned four yeses, sending them forward to the next round of the competition.

Simon Cowell appeared especially impressed by the duo’s stage presence and vocal control. For two teenagers performing an original song on such a major platform, the moment showed both courage and confidence.

But while the brothers introduced themselves as young artists from O‘ahu, Hawaii, many viewers did not immediately know about their famous family connection. Nyjah and Zyah are the nephews of Grammy-winning superstar Bruno Mars.

They are the sons of Bruno Mars’ sister, Tahiti Hernandez Kemper, and professional surfer Billy Kemper. Still, even with a famous uncle, the brothers have been working to build their own name and audience through their own performances.

Long before AGT, Nyjah and Zyah had already been gaining attention online. They built a following by sharing covers of old-school R&B songs, Hawaiian mele, and emotional ballads, earning fans who connected with their harmonies and musical style.

Their growing popularity also led to bigger opportunities before their AGT audition. In November 2024, the brothers appeared in a national campaign for Gap Inc., giving them a wider spotlight outside social media.

One of their biggest early achievements came through a project connected to Bruno Mars. The brothers recorded a cover of Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love,” which was featured on the soundtrack for the 2025 live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch, with the track reportedly produced by Bruno himself.

Now, their America’s Got Talent debut has introduced them to an even larger audience. Whether fans know them as Bruno Mars’ nephews or simply as Nyjah Music and Zyah Rhythm, their audition made one thing clear: these brothers are not just relying on a famous name — they have the talent, harmony, and stage presence to stand on their own.
