The Voice Season 30 is officially deep into the Blind Auditions, and NBC has confirmed exactly how long Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah and Riley Green have left to complete their teams before the competition moves forward.
This season features six Blind Audition episodes in total, stretching from the special premiere week in September through the final auditions on October 6.
Season 30 began with an unusually packed premiere week. Instead of making viewers wait an entire week between episodes, The Voice launched with three consecutive nights of Blind Auditions.
The season premiere aired Monday, September 21, introducing the new coaching lineup and the first group of artists hoping to earn a chair turn.
Blind Auditions Part 2 followed on Tuesday, September 22, before Part 3 aired Wednesday, September 23, completing the special three-night opening event.
The show then returned to its regular Monday schedule on September 28 with Blind Auditions Part 4.
That episode brought another major group of contestants into the competition and included several heated coach battles as the available positions on each team continued disappearing.
The Blind Auditions are scheduled to continue with Part 5 on Monday, October 5, when Adam, Kelly, Queen and Riley will have another opportunity to fill the remaining spaces on their teams.
The final Blind Auditions episode, Part 6, is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6.
That means October 6 should finally reveal the completed Season 30 teams and determine which artists will advance with each of the four coaches.
The schedule also explains why there was no new episode on Tuesday, September 29. The three-night premiere was a special opening-week event rather than the regular weekly format viewers should expect throughout the rest of the season.
The pressure is already increasing because each coach can only take a limited number of singers into the next stage. As those openings disappear, coaches are becoming more selective about when they turn their chairs.
Season 30 has also made those decisions more complicated with the introduction of the First-In advantage, which allows a coach who turned first for an artist to secure that singer immediately when the special power is used.
Riley Green demonstrated how important that advantage could become when he used it to secure Allie Rae, preventing the other coaches who turned from getting the chance to persuade her to join their teams.
Once the sixth and final Blind Audition concludes on October 6, the focus will shift away from simply earning chair turns. With all four teams finally assembled, Adam, Kelly, Queen and Riley will have to begin making much tougher decisions as their own artists compete for survival in the next stage of The Voice.
