ZERO CHAIRS — THEN RILEY GREEN CHANGED EVERYTHING FOR 17-YEAR-OLD ISABELLA JULIET

Seventeen-year-old Isabella Juliet Taylor walked onto The Voice stage hoping for one thing: a chair turn.

She walked away without one.

But what happened afterward gave the young country singer a moment she may remember far longer than the disappointment of her Blind Audition.

Isabella performed Lainey Wilson’s “Things a Man Oughta Know,” accompanying herself on guitar while showcasing the country sound she hoped would earn her a place on one of the four teams.

None of the coaches turned.

The result visibly brought Isabella’s journey on the competition to an end before the Battles even began.

But Riley Green made sure the audition didn’t end with only rejection.

The country star told Isabella that she had an “awesome voice” and praised how believable she sounded while singing country music.

He also admitted that he had come extremely close to turning his chair.

Riley felt nerves had affected parts of the performance, but he clearly believed Isabella had genuine potential.

Then the conversation took an unexpected turn.

Riley revealed that Isabella wasn’t completely unfamiliar to him.

Before appearing on The Voice, Isabella had posted herself singing Riley’s song “Don’t Mind If I Do” online.

And Riley had seen it.

That realization transformed an unsuccessful audition into something much more personal.

Rather than simply saying goodbye, Riley grabbed a guitar.

He invited Isabella to perform the song with him.

Suddenly, the teenager who had just watched four chairs remain turned away was standing beside one of the country artists whose music she already performed at home.

The two began singing together as the studio audience cheered.

At one point, Isabella delivered a powerful note and Riley visibly encouraged her as the moment grew bigger than the audition result itself.

For Isabella, it was a dream she probably hadn’t expected to fulfill that night.

She hadn’t earned a place on Team Riley.

But she had earned the opportunity to sing side-by-side with him on The Voice stage.

That made the moment particularly emotional considering Isabella’s journey as a musician.

Reports say she was born with part of her left arm missing and uses a prosthetic device that allows her to play guitar — something viewers saw during her audition.

Yet the performance wasn’t presented simply as a story about overcoming a physical difference.

Riley’s feedback focused directly on her voice, country credibility and musical potential.

And his decision to perform with her showed that failing to earn a chair turn didn’t mean he had stopped believing there was something special in her talent.

The moment has since attracted praise online, with viewers celebrating Riley for turning what could have been one of Isabella’s most disappointing musical experiences into something completely different.

She may not continue into the Battles.

She may not have a coach.

But she left The Voice having performed one of Riley Green’s own songs with Riley Green himself.

And sometimes a moment like that can matter almost as much as a chair turn.

Isabella Juliet Taylor came to The Voice hoping one coach would turn around.

Instead, Riley Green stood up, grabbed a guitar and joined her onstage.

For one disappointed 17-year-old singer, that may have been an even more unforgettable ending.
