The Voice Season 30 delivered another unforgettable moment when 14-year-old Brooklyn Marie faced fellow Team Kelly Clarkson contestant Kavi Nyx in a powerful Battle Round performance of “Titanium” by David Guetta and Sia.
The two young singers took the stage during the October 26 episode, bringing their distinctive vocal styles to one of pop music’s most demanding anthems.
The song, famous for its soaring chorus and emotional intensity, provided the perfect opportunity for both contestants to demonstrate their range, control, and stage presence.

Brooklyn, a talented singer from Alexandria, Minnesota, had already impressed the coaches during her Blind Audition with Olivia Rodrigo’s “Traitor,” earning chair turns from Kelly Clarkson and Queen Latifah.
Despite having two coaches interested in her, Brooklyn chose Team Kelly, making it clear that Clarkson had been her preferred coach from the beginning.
Her Battle opponent, 17-year-old Kavi Nyx from Atlanta, Georgia, had also made a strong impression during the Blind Auditions, earning three chair turns with her performance of “Wildflower.”

When the two singers performed “Titanium,” their contrasting approaches became one of the most interesting parts of the duet. Kavi brought a more traditional vocal style, while Brooklyn stood out with her delicate, distinctive tone.
Battle Round advisor Ariana DeBose recognized how different the contestants were, describing them as two artists with contrasting strengths rather than directly comparable voices.
Their performance presented Clarkson with a difficult decision. Both singers demonstrated impressive abilities, but only one could remain on her team and advance to the next stage.
Ultimately, Kelly Clarkson selected Brooklyn Marie as the Battle Round winner, sending the 14-year-old singer forward to the competition’s upcoming Cut Week.
Explaining her decision, Clarkson praised Brooklyn’s exceptionally pure vocal quality and the emotional impact of her singing. She also expressed excitement about watching such a young artist continue developing her abilities.
Unfortunately for Kavi Nyx, the decision meant her journey on The Voice came to an end. Although she did not advance, her performance demonstrated the talent that had initially attracted multiple coaches during the Blind Auditions.
Brooklyn Marie’s victory marks another major milestone in her musical journey. At just 14 years old, she has already impressed Kelly Clarkson twice, and her memorable performance of “Titanium” has secured her a place in Cut Week, where the competition for a spot in the Live Shows will become even more intense.
