Caroline Alexis is preparing for an exciting new chapter after her emotional elimination from The Voice Season 30. The 25-year-old country singer from Ozark, Alabama, has revealed two important career plans that could shape her future beyond the competition. While she is working toward releasing original music and establishing herself as a country artist, she is also preparing to take the bar exam in February 2027. Meanwhile, her connection with fellow contestant Everett Bounds has opened the possibility of another unexpected musical opportunity.

Alexis first captured attention during the Blind Auditions when she performed Rascal Flatts’ “Take Me There,” earning a chair turn from fellow Alabama native Riley Green. Although only one coach turned for her, the moment represented a major achievement for someone who had spent years dreaming of performing on a national stage. Her appearance also introduced viewers to a talented singer whose journey into country music had followed an unconventional path.

Growing up, Alexis loved music but initially struggled with the confidence to perform in front of others. She often practiced singing privately and would become embarrassed whenever someone overheard her. Her confidence began changing during her senior year of high school when she auditioned for a production of Mamma Mia! and earned the leading role of Donna. The experience helped her discover how much she enjoyed performing and encouraged her to continue pursuing music.

Despite her growing passion for singing, Alexis also dedicated herself to education and eventually graduated from law school. However, she never considered music simply an alternative career. Instead, she viewed singing as a lifelong dream that deserved a serious opportunity. After auditioning for The Voice multiple times, she finally received the chance to compete during Season 30, an experience she described as both intimidating and rewarding.

Her journey became even more memorable during the Battle Rounds when Riley Green paired her with Everett Bounds for a performance of Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn’s classic duet “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man.” The two contestants had already developed a personal connection after meeting backstage, where Bounds surprised Alexis with flowers and a handwritten invitation to dinner. Their growing friendship and romantic interest added natural chemistry to the performance.

Although their entertaining duet impressed the coaches, Green ultimately selected Bounds as the Battle Round winner. He praised Alexis for her lively personality and traditional country style but believed Bounds was particularly well suited to the upbeat musical direction he wanted for his team. Despite the disappointing elimination, Alexis expressed gratitude for the experience and explained that the guidance she received from Green and guest advisor Carly Pearce had helped her grow as a performer.

Following her departure, Alexis revealed that writing and recording original country music had become her main priority. She has been developing songs that combine her appreciation for traditional country storytelling with themes that modern listeners can relate to. One idea she has explored centers on the expression “sink or swim,” reflecting her belief that taking chances is more important than remaining afraid to pursue a dream. She hopes to release music that listeners can connect with during meaningful moments in their lives.

Interestingly, Alexis also revealed that she and Bounds have discussed the possibility of writing music together. Their shared appreciation for traditional country sounds and similar musical influences could make them natural collaborators beyond The Voice. Although the pair attracted attention for their developing romantic connection during the competition, their current relationship status has not been publicly confirmed. For now, the possibility of creating music together represents an exciting professional opportunity rather than a confirmed upcoming project.

Alongside her musical ambitions, Alexis has another major goal that she has not abandoned. The singer postponed her bar exam while participating in The Voice but now plans to take it in February 2027. Although she hopes to pursue music full-time if the opportunity becomes available, completing the examination remains a personal achievement she wants to accomplish. Her decision reflects a determination to continue developing both her professional qualifications and her artistic career.

For now, Alexis is staying in Alabama while writing songs, preparing new material, and exploring opportunities to perform. She hopes her time on The Voice will become an important chapter in a much longer musical journey rather than the defining moment of her career. With plans to release original music, complete her bar exam, and potentially collaborate with Everett Bounds, the former Team Riley contestant is looking toward a future filled with new possibilities after her departure from Season 30.
