In true Blake Shelton fashion, the country music funnyman is back at it — blending humor, music, and a little redneck charm in a viral moment that has fans howling with laughter.
As hunting season approaches, Shelton took to Instagram to show off his latest toy: a sleek new Kubota utility vehicle parked proudly on his Oklahoma property. But rather than giving it a traditional name, the former Voice coach simply dubbed it: “my big, long thing.”
Blake Shelton’s Musical Twist on “Long Black Train”
Of course, Shelton couldn’t resist putting a hilarious spin on Josh Turner’s iconic hit “Long Black Train.” Grinning at the camera, he broke into a cheeky rendition:
“My big, long thing is ready for hunting season!”
And just like that, country fans everywhere had a new catchphrase — and a new reason to love Blake all over again.
A Full Tour of Blake’s “Big, Long Thing”
In the video, Shelton gives a full walk-around of the new Kubota rig, pointing out all the essentials:
- Room for deer 🦌
- Space for gear 🎒
- And of course… a spot for beer 🍻
“I mean, what is that?” he exclaims, half in awe, half in jest, as he shows off the massive vehicle’s rear bed.
Inside the cab, Shelton sends out a mock warning to his hunting buddies:
“No, you’re not borrowing this thing.”
Then with a mischievous smile, he belts out another reworked line of “Long Black Train,” this time replacing Turner’s somber tone with:
“Don’t go ridin’ on my big, long thing!”
Even Kubota themselves chimed in on social media, commenting:
“Here for a good time and a loooong time 😉”
What’s Next for Blake?

With The Voice in his rearview mirror and only a handful of tour dates left in 2025, Shelton seems ready to enjoy a slower pace — complete with hunting trips and tractor rides on his Oklahoma land.
But come February 2025, Shelton’s schedule kicks back into gear with a six-show residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The dates are set for:
- February 5, 7, 8, 12, 14, and 15
Each show starts at 8 p.m. local time.
“We’ve been talking about a Vegas residency for a few years,” Shelton shared. “The Colosseum is such an iconic venue, and I’m excited to bring some honky-tonk neon to the Palace.”
Bringing Oklahoma to the Strip
Earlier this year, Shelton expanded his Ole Red empire by opening a massive four-story location on the Las Vegas Strip. The venue, packed with live music, Southern eats, and over 27,000 square feet of space, has quickly become a hotspot for fans looking for a little country in the city of lights.
So whether he’s singing about deer and beer, bringing honky-tonk to Vegas, or just being Blake, one thing’s clear — country music’s favorite jokester is still in fine form.
And yes… his big, long thing is ready.
