Twelve acts took the stage during the America’s Got Talent Season 21 semifinals, but only six could earn a place in the upcoming finale through America’s vote. With the judges no longer deciding who advanced, the performers faced one of the most important moments of their AGT journeys.
The semifinal lineup featured a wide variety of performers, including singers, comedians, magicians, dancers, an aerialist and two different dog acts. Each performer had one final opportunity to convince viewers that they deserved to continue, making the results particularly difficult to predict.
When the results were revealed, Olivia Befus became one of the first semifinalists announced as a finalist. Her dog act had impressed viewers throughout the competition, and her advancement meant she would have another opportunity to perform on the AGT stage.
Aerialist Veronika Goroshkova also secured her place in the finale. Her gravity-defying performance had earned strong reactions from the judges during the semifinals, and the audience ultimately gave her enough votes to continue her journey.
Acro Canine Crew was another act that received enough support to advance. The performance group brought both human and canine performers together, giving viewers another memorable dog-centered act to support after Olivia Befus also moved forward.
Korean dance troupe Come Here became the fourth semifinal act to advance. Their energetic performance earned praise during the live show, and America’s vote gave the group another chance to showcase its choreography when the Season 21 finalists take the stage.
Royal Lasers then claimed another spot in the finale, leaving magic duo Young & Strange out of the competition. The result demonstrated just how difficult the semifinal vote was, with several acts receiving strong reactions but only six available places.
The final spot went to magician Geno Ploeger, who advanced at the expense of singer Travis Garland. Ploeger’s semifinal performance had generated a strong response from the judges and audience, and his result completed the six acts selected by viewers.
The six successful semifinalists will now join four acts that had already secured places in the finale through Live Golden Buzzers during the quarterfinals. Those acts are Hundred Fingers, Lai Noelle, Nene Royal and Unitree, bringing the total Season 21 finale lineup to 10 performers.
For the six acts who were eliminated, the semifinal results marked the end of their Season 21 journeys. Kameron Marshall, Daniel Alvarez, Cesar Dias, Luke Taleno, Young & Strange and Travis Garland all fell short of the viewer vote needed to advance.
With the final 10 now set, America’s Got Talent is heading into its two-night Season 21 finale, where the remaining performers will return to the stage for their final performances. The season has reached its decisive stage, with the audience once again having the power to determine the outcome. Compiled with information from various sources.
