Blake Shelton Ditches Hollywood for Harvest Season

Blake Shelton is living his best life this fall, swapping out studio lights for tractor headlights as he gets his hands dirty on his Oklahoma farm. Like a kid in a candy store, the country star couldn’t be more thrilled about prepping for planting season—and he’s bringing fans along for the ride.

Taking a break from filming the new season of The Voice, Shelton headed home to enjoy some quality time outdoors, documenting the process with a video that’s as down-home and hilarious as you’d expect. Set to “Out In The Middle,” his recent collaboration with Zac Brown Band, the clip features Shelton revving up his Kubota tractor with a grin and a whole lot of energy.

“Guess what time it is, America?” he shouts with excitement. “Way too early to be planting food plots, but I’m getting ’em ready! Woo!”

He tours his land, eventually stopping in front of a less-than-pretty field and declares with glee, “Okay, people, we’re here. We’re about to take this big orange monster and make this disgusting, nasty-looking field look like a beautiful piece of dirt.”

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true country moment without a musical nod. While cruising on the tractor, Shelton tips his hat to Jason Aldean, crooning a line from “Amarillo Sky”: “I just take the tractor another round.” It’s peak Blake—part farmer, part rockstar.

He captioned the video with classic Shelton enthusiasm: “Y’all know what time it is!!! We’re makin some magic happen today!!!”

But it’s not all soil and seeds—Shelton’s schedule is packed. On August 13, he’s set to perform at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. And on September 10, he returns to the Grand Ole Opry for a special two-show appearance alongside artists like Callista Clark, Kolby Cooper, and Todd Tilghman.

As fall rolls in, The Voice returns too. Shelton and his fellow coaches—wife Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and newcomer Camila Cabello—are already stirring up trouble ahead of the September 19 premiere. In a hilarious promo, Cabello finds a “Welcome Camila” banner on set… along with a creepy anonymous note constructed from magazine clippings that reads, “You are going 2 lose so bad! Ha! Ha! Ha!”

Stefani plays it cool: “Who would send that?” Meanwhile, Shelton, the king of country mischief, shrugs: “I can’t believe you got that anonymous letter.”

Turns out, Legend got one too: “You should never have come back.” Suspicious much?

The prankster behind it all? You guessed it—Shelton. The mystery unravels when host Carson Daly walks in with the magazine scraps from his dressing room. “Hey Blake, can you please stop crafting in my dressing room?”

“Busted,” Cabello smirks, as everyone gives Shelton that really, Blake? look.

Whether he’s tearing up the dirt in Oklahoma or the competition on The Voice, one thing’s for sure—Blake Shelton is always planting something. Sometimes it’s corn, sometimes it’s chaos. Either way, fans are reaping the rewards.
