Blake Shelton & Kelly Clarkson’s Unforgettable Duet Proves Their Unmatched Chemistry

Blake Shelton & Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton have shared the stage as coaches on The Voice, but there’s something extra special about the two country stars sitting down for an intimate duet. On a Road Trip episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Clarkson invited Shelton to join her on set with his guitar in hand.

The two performed a heartfelt duet of Shelton’s 2001 breakout hit Austin, with Shelton strumming along while Clarkson added beautiful harmonies. Before they began, Shelton joked, “I’ve never heard you sing on this show,” which made Clarkson laugh—especially since she kicks off every episode with a Kellyoke performance. Then, Shelton launched into the song, and magic unfolded.

Fans were quick to call it the duet of their dreams, with many praising the stripped-down nature of the performance. “Such a beautiful song, her duet on his song is just magic,” one person commented. Others gushed over Clarkson’s vocal talent and begged for a Shelton-Clarkson duet album.

“Love Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. They are awesome artists and they do a great job on The Voice,” another fan wrote. The comment, of course, came from 2023, during their final season as coaches on The Voice. Both departed after season 23, though fans continue to hope one or both will return.

Clarkson, however, remains busy with her wildly successful daytime talk show, while Shelton has been enjoying life with his wife, Gwen Stefani. Though their Voice era may be over for now, their undeniable chemistry and musical connection still shine whenever they share the stage.
