CBS Introduces the Cast of Blake Shelton & Keith Urban’s The Road

Get ready for the ultimate country music journey — CBS has officially unveiled the 12 rising stars set to compete on The Road, a new fall competition series featuring country legends Blake Shelton and Keith Urban, along with Yellowstone mastermind Taylor Sheridan and country firebrand Gretchen Wilson.

Announced in November 2024, The Road follows contestants as they open for headliner Keith Urban on a real cross-country tour, learning firsthand what it takes to survive life on the road — from stagecraft and songwriting to stamina and self-belief. Blake Shelton, who serves as executive producer alongside Sheridan, said, “I know a thing or two about singing competitions and what it’s like to chase a music dream and live life on tour. I’m looking forward to discovering new talent and giving them this platform.”

Joining the team is Gretchen Wilson as the show’s “tour manager” — a mentor figure responsible for keeping the tour running smoothly and preparing contestants for the emotional and physical grind of the road. “Helping them sharpen their talents to capture the attention of these crowds across America… has been a highlight of my career,” she said.

Now, CBS has officially revealed the 12 artists vying for the spotlight:

  • Adam Sanders – Lake City, Florida
  • Billie Jo Jones – Emory, Texas
  • Blaine Bailey – Tahlequah, Oklahoma
  • Briana Adams – Winchester, Texas
  • Britnee Kellogg – Anthem, Arizona
  • Cassidy Daniels – Marion, North Carolina
  • Channing Wilson – LaFayette, Georgia
  • Cody Hibbard – Adair, Oklahoma
  • Forrest McCurren – Jefferson City, Missouri
  • Jenny Tolman – Nashville, Tennessee
  • Jon Wood – Wake Forest, North Carolina
  • Olivia Harms – Canby, Oregon

From seasoned independent artists to breakout newcomers, each of these 12 musicians brings a distinct voice and story — and they’re all ready to prove themselves in front of thousands of live fans.

The Road is set to premiere this fall on CBS, with episodes also streaming on Paramount+. A release date is expected soon.
