Jason Aldean’s Son Memphis Recovering After Emergency Room Scare

Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany are counting their blessings after a frightening night that landed their 6-year-old son, Memphis, in the emergency room. The country star’s family confirmed the ordeal early Monday through a heartfelt Instagram update, sharing a photo of Memphis resting in bed, cradling a stuffed dinosaur, with a hospital wristband still around his wrist and a brave little smile on his face.

“It was a long night in the ER,” Brittany wrote, revealing that Memphis had fractured his collarbone and would be in a sling for a few weeks. “He’s okay. Just rest and extra lovin’ — he’ll be healed before we know it.” Despite the injury, the young boy was in good spirits, joking about how to make up a more exciting story than the real one when explaining the injury to friends.

A video from the ER showed Brittany seated beside her son while Jason could be heard off-camera asking, “How you feeling, buddy? Better, you feel better?” He added, “I hope it’s not broke, but I think maybe you’re probably gonna have to get a little sling.” Jason then lightened the mood with a playful suggestion: “Tell your friends you got jumped — and beat ‘em all up.”

Brittany captioned the clip, “Still making us laugh even in the ER,” a testament to the family’s resilience and sense of humor even in the face of unexpected stress.

Memphis, born December 1, 2017, is the couple’s first child together and Jason’s third overall. They welcomed daughter Navy the following year, completing their growing family. Fans have frequently seen sweet moments from their home life shared on social media, from sports practices to family vacations.

Jason, currently in the middle of his FULL THROTTLE Tour, is set to continue performing across the U.S. before heading to New Zealand and Australia later this year. He recently took a quick break from touring for a European getaway with Brittany, though his heart is clearly back at home now as Memphis heals.

In a recent interview, Aldean spoke about life off the road, saying, “Right now the kids are all playing sports — Memphis is in baseball, Navy’s in softball, Kendall’s playing flag football. So we’re just kind of all over the map.” Though he loves his role as a dad and part-time chauffeur, he also revealed he’s working hard to finish a new album and release fresh music later this year.

For now, though, all focus is on Memphis’s recovery — and if his upbeat spirit in the ER is any indication, he’ll be back on his feet (and back at bat) in no time.
