Honeymoon Dreams Put on Hold: DWTS’ Britt Stewart Chooses Ballroom Over Newlywed Bliss

For Britt Stewart, life as a newlywed will have to wait just a little longer. The Dancing With the Stars pro tied the knot with actor Daniel Durant in a romantic ceremony on August 23 in Santa Margarita, California, but instead of jetting off for a honeymoon, she’s diving straight back into the ballroom for season 34 of the hit competition show.

“ No honeymoon yet, thank God,” Britt, 35, revealed in an exclusive interview. “Daniel has been in this position. He was like, ‘Babe, you’re now my wife, go on to the ballroom.’ But we have plans to take a honeymoon over the holidays, and we’re just so excited to then celebrate our wedding and marriage.” For both, it’s a sacrifice rooted in love and support, one Daniel has embraced wholeheartedly.

The couple, who first met as partners on season 31 of DWTS, described their wedding as a dream come true. Surrounded by family, friends, and the natural beauty of California, Britt said the day was everything they had envisioned. “It was exactly what it was meant to be,” she explained. “We wanted the feeling of connectivity between us, between our family, our close friends, nature, everything. It was that.”

Now, Britt has set her focus on season 34, where she’s been paired with NBA legend Baron Davis. While many fans were thrilled by the news, it was Daniel who seemed most starstruck. “He is losing his mind,” Britt admitted with a laugh. “My husband is an actor. He’s been to the Oscars. He is not easily [starstruck]. But when I told him I was paired with Baron, he lost his mind. He is such a sports fan, and he cannot wait to meet him.”

Baron, 46, is equally enthusiastic about the partnership. “She’s adorable. She’s sweet,” he said. “I’m just like, ‘OK, all right, coach. Whatever you want me to do.’ She’s the greatest.” The NBA veteran is ready to trade sneakers for dance shoes, relying on Britt’s expertise to guide him through the challenge.

For Britt, first impressions have already been promising. She praised Baron for his authenticity and openness in rehearsals. “My first impression was that he came into the room completely authentic,” she said. “I saw who Baron was as soon as he walked through the door. And I really vibe with that, because that’s how I like to proceed in life. … He is lovely. He is vibrant and friendly, and his energy is contagious.”

The pair now face the countdown to their first live performance on September 16, a moment both know will test their preparation and chemistry under the spotlight. For Britt, it’s the perfect balance of personal joy and professional ambition—a season defined by marriage, sacrifice, and the pursuit of dance floor glory.

As Britt Stewart and Baron Davis prepare to take center stage, the world watches not just for their footwork, but for the story of a woman balancing her dream career with her dream marriage. And if their early rehearsal bond is any indication, season 34 is set to deliver both inspiration and unforgettable performances.
