Former Dancing With the Stars champion Kaitlyn Bristowe is weighing in on Brian Austin Green’s emotional comments about life while fiancée Sharna Burgess competes on Season 35 — and she believes the way he handled his feelings publicly created a much bigger problem.

Sharna returned to the ballroom this season after several years away and is currently partnered with Tyler Cameron.

The comeback has required long rehearsal days and plenty of time away from home as Sharna throws herself back into the demanding DWTS schedule.

Brian, meanwhile, recently opened up on social media about going through a difficult stretch and feeling lonely.

In one video, he spoke about having days that were harder than others and admitted that life can sometimes feel unpredictable and challenging.

His comments quickly attracted attention because they came while Sharna was spending much of her time rehearsing with Tyler.

Kaitlyn discussed the situation on her Off the Vine podcast and made clear that she didn’t believe Brian was wrong simply for feeling lonely.

Her problem was where those feelings were being expressed.

Kaitlyn argued that talking about them publicly could make Sharna feel responsible for Brian’s unhappiness while she was away doing her job.

“I feel like he humiliated her on his social media,” Kaitlyn said.

She went even further, arguing that private relationship frustrations shouldn’t necessarily become social-media content.

Kaitlyn suggested that if Brian was genuinely struggling with those emotions, they would be better discussed privately rather than in a way that could make Sharna feel guilty for returning to what Kaitlyn described as her dream job.

That is where Kaitlyn appeared to see the bigger issue.

Sharna’s return to Dancing With the Stars isn’t simply another television appearance.

She had been away from the competition for years while focusing heavily on family life, making Season 35 a major professional comeback.

She has also spoken about reconnecting with parts of herself that existed before motherhood and embracing the opportunity to dance competitively again.

From Kaitlyn’s perspective, public complaints about how much time Sharna spends rehearsing could unintentionally turn that comeback into something she feels guilty about.

And Tyler Cameron’s presence complicated the conversation further.

Brian had acknowledged that Sharna was spending large amounts of time with her celebrity partner — something every professional dancer on DWTS must do during the competition.

Kaitlyn pushed back against any implication that there should be something suspicious about that arrangement.

Tyler himself is engaged, and Sharna has described their partnership as becoming almost like family rather than anything romantic.

The situation became even more significant when Brian later acknowledged that some of his own past relationship experiences had influenced his emotions.

He admitted that old trust issues had resurfaced and apologized for allowing those feelings to become a distraction during Sharna and Tyler’s season.

Brian also apologized directly to Tyler, recognizing that the dancer-celebrity partnership had been pulled into a personal situation that wasn’t Tyler’s responsibility.

That doesn’t mean Brian hasn’t supported Sharna.

In fact, Sharna has publicly praised him during Season 35.

She described Brian as her “rock,” explaining that he helps keep things running at home, prepares food for her and supports the demanding schedule required by the competition.

Brian has also encouraged viewers to vote for Sharna and Tyler.

That makes Kaitlyn’s criticism less about portraying Brian as an unsupportive partner and more about one specific choice: taking difficult personal feelings public.

Kaitlyn understands those emotions particularly well because she has experienced the intensity of Dancing With the Stars herself.

She won Season 29 with Artem Chigvintsev in 2020 and knows how consuming the rehearsal schedule can become.

Her warning appears straightforward.

Feeling lonely isn’t necessarily the problem.

Making a partner feel guilty about pursuing something important to them can become one.

And while Brian has since apologized and acknowledged where some of those emotions came from, Kaitlyn believes the situation shows why relationship frustrations surrounding DWTS may be better handled away from social media.

For Sharna, Season 35 represents a major return to the career she loves.

For Brian, it has apparently required adjusting to a temporarily very different home life.

But according to Kaitlyn Bristowe, the bigger challenge isn’t simply the time apart.

It is making sure that distance doesn’t turn into resentment — or make Sharna feel guilty for stepping back into the ballroom.
