Season 23 of American Idol is heading into its final stretch, with only two weeks left until a winner is crowned. As tradition goes, the show will honor Disney with a special two-night event featuring live performances, mentorship from Lin-Manuel Miranda, and real-time voting that narrows the field from seven contestants to just three finalists.
Sunday, May 11 – Disney Night Part 1 (Mother’s Day Episode)
8:00–10:01 p.m. EDT | Live Coast to Coast on ABC
The first night of Disney Week doubles as a celebration of Mother’s Day. The Top 7 contestants visit Disneyland Resort and perform classic Disney songs live. Viewers across the country will vote in real time, and by the end of the night, the Top 5 will be revealed.
Special guest Lin-Manuel Miranda joins as mentor for the evening.

Monday, May 12 – Disney Night Part 2

The second part of Disney Week shifts focus to the theme of heroes and villains. The Top 5 contestants each perform twice, once again mentored by Lin-Manuel Miranda. Live voting will determine the three finalists moving on to the finale.
The night also features a special performance by American Idol Season 21 winner Iam Tongi, who will sing “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride” from Disney’s Lilo & Stitch.

Monday, May 18 – Grand Finale
8:00–11:00 p.m. EDT | Live on ABC
The Top 3 finalists return for a three-hour live event, where they will give their final performances in front of the nation. The show will include appearances by music legends, star-studded collaborations, and high-energy guest performances.
At the end of the night, the Season 23 winner of American Idol will be crowned.
