American Idol continues broadcasting live Coast to Coast on Sunday, May 11 and Monday, May 12. Both nights will celebrate Disney music, with the Top 7 contestants performing fan-favorite songs from iconic films. By the end of Sunday’s show, the field will narrow to a Top 5. Performance Power Rankings: Top 7
These rankings reflect a combination of Facebook view counts, recent performance momentum, and voting trends.
7. Mattie Pruitt

Mattie was saved by the judges last week and has struggled to connect emotionally with audiences. She’ll need to make a powerful impression with her ballad “Remember Me” to secure a spot in the Top 5.
6. Thunderstorm Artis

While always vocally solid, Thunderstorm has not stood out in recent weeks. His choice of “Colors of the Wind” is beautiful but subdued—he’ll need to infuse it with his signature artistry to remain in the competition.
5. Slater Nalley

Slater’s Southern charm and grit have carried him far, but “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” may not be the best fit. A more upbeat or stylistically flexible Disney song might have better showcased his strengths.
4. Gabby Samone

Gabby is gaining traction. Her performance of “How Far I’ll Go” could be a breakout moment. She’s been quietly consistent, and this could be her time to shine.
3. Breanna Nix

With “Reflection,” Breanna has the opportunity for a true showstopper. Her powerful voice and vocal control could secure her a Top 3 spot if she connects emotionally.
2. Jamal Roberts

Jamal is the full package—vocals, charisma, stage presence. “Go the Distance” is a perfect fit for his inspiring style. While John is the frontrunner, Jamal could absolutely pull off an upset.
1. John Foster

John remains the runaway favorite. With huge viewership numbers and consistent crowd-pleasing performances, it’s his competition to lose. “Almost There” may not be a big vocal moment, but his charm alone will likely carry him through.
