Gwen Stefani may have just earned her first No. 1 on the country charts with husband Blake Shelton, but it looks like she’s taking her country crossover to a whole new (and hilarious) level.

On Monday night (Oct. 19), Stefani appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in a side-splitting sketch promoting a fictional country album titled Gwen’s Gone Country. The bit featured country-fried renditions of some of her most iconic hits — including “Don’t Speak,” “Spiderwebs,” and yes, even “Hollaback Girl.”

“Howdy, I’m Buck Pinto, here with a new record I think y’all are going to be mighty excited to see,” Fallon jokes in his best down-home accent. “If you’re like me, you love the sweet sounds of down-home country music. But if you’re also like me, you love the rockin’ music of multitalented superstar Gwen Stefani. Problem is, you gotta choose one or the other.”

He adds, “Well, not anymore, thanks to this new album, Gwen’s Gone Country.”

Cut to Gwen, donning a rhinestone-studded cowgirl outfit, fully committing to the bit as she belts out twangy, tongue-in-cheek versions of her pop-rock classics — complete with southern flair and a cheeky wink.

While the album is purely for laughs (for now), the sketch is a playful nod to Gwen’s evolving connection to country music, especially since teaming up with Shelton both professionally and personally.

Watch the full skit below — and try not to get “Yeehaw-back Girl” stuck in your head.
