Gwen Stefani might be known for her pop hits and glamorous style, but on their Oklahoma farm, she’s just as likely to be found digging in the dirt with her family by her side—and maybe even a sparkle of glitter eyeliner in the sun.
In a heartwarming glimpse into their country life, Stefani shared a video on social media showing her, Blake Shelton, and her kids spending a spring day together working the land. Dressed in matching camo outfits and wide smiles, the family headed into the fields, ready to plant new life into their rural paradise.
“Island in the (country) sun with the fam ☀️🌷,” Stefani captioned the post, referencing Weezer’s beloved song—also used as the video’s soundtrack.
The family planted a colorful mix of flowers, including Double Click Snow Puff cosmos, Tall Teddy Bear sunflowers, and Strawberry Blonde sunflowers. The video ends with a touching photo collage of shared laughs, sweet glances, and simple joys—proving that even with her pop star status, Stefani is deeply rooted in family and nature.
Yes, she farmed in full glam—sparkly winged eyeliner, feather earrings, and all.
But that’s not all they’ve been up to on the homestead.
In another candid Instagram video, the couple took fans along on a morel mushroom hunt, and it quickly turned into an unexpected adventure. Shelton, already excited by the sheer number of mushrooms around them, kicked off the expedition with a big grin.
“There’s so many mushrooms around us right now that I’ve never even seen anything like this,” he marveled.
Stefani, ever the entertainer, joked, “Watch me not be able to find them,” before her eyes suddenly lit up. “OMG Blake, they’re everywhere!!” she shouted, laughing in disbelief as she discovered clusters of morels hidden in the brush.
It was like a springtime treasure hunt—country style.
With cheers and a gleeful “Eureka!” from Shelton, the couple filled their bag with mushrooms and picked wildflowers along the way. Back home, the mushrooms went straight into a skillet, and the flowers into a vase—transforming their harvest into both a snack and a centerpiece.
As much as Shelton enjoys life on the farm, he’s also wrapping up a major chapter in his music career. The country star is currently in his final season as a coach on The Voice. Season 23 kicked off on March 6 and will close with a two-night finale on May 22 and 23.
But Shelton isn’t stepping away from TV entirely.
He’s also co-producing and starring in the second season of Barmageddon, the wild celebrity game show that combines bar games, big laughs, and good friends. Currently filming at the Nashville location of Shelton’s bar, Ole Red, the venue temporarily shut down with a cheeky tweet:
“Somethin’ special is brewin’ (again) 😉”
The first season of Barmageddon, which premiered in December 2022, brought together Shelton, Carson Daly, and host Nikki Bella with a rotating cast of celebrity guests—including Gwen Stefani, Chris Young, Kane Brown, and Trace Adkins. Games like Keg Curling and Air Cannon Cornhole brought the chaos, while Shelton’s signature charm kept things rolling.
“What we were aiming for was real-life The Hangover,” Shelton told PEOPLE. “We wanted to try to capture that in a TV show with people that we know.”
A release date for Barmageddon Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet, but fans can stream Season 1 on Peacock in the meantime.
And for those missing Shelton on stage, not to worry—he’ll be performing at major festivals throughout the year, including Barefoot Country Fest, Country Jam 2023, and Sunset Country Music Festival.
From fields of flowers and mushrooms to festival stages and television screens, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are showing the world what it means to blend country grit with California glam—and have a lot of fun doing it.
