Kane Brown is recovering after a frightening golf accident sent him for medical treatment and forced him to miss a scheduled performance in Nashville.
The country star was injured after being struck in the head by a golf ball while out on the course. Brown later told fans that the impact left him needing 23 stitches and dealing with a mild concussion.
The accident happened before Brown was scheduled to perform at the Tight End University & Friends concert in Nashville on June 23. Because of the injury, he was unable to appear at the event.
Former NFL players Taylor Lewan and Will Compton announced Brown’s absence to the crowd, telling fans that the singer had been hurt earlier in the day but was okay.
Brown later gave fans his own update through social media, explaining that he had been hit by a golf ball and had gone to get checked out. He said he was grateful the outcome was not worse.
According to Brown, the ball came from a friend’s shot nearby, not from far away across multiple fairways. He described it as a fast-moving shot and said he had only a split second to react.
The injury required 23 stitches near his ear, and doctors also diagnosed him with a concussion. Brown said the next 48 hours would be important because symptoms could worsen during that period.
Even while explaining what happened, Brown tried to stay positive. His message to fans was simple: he was alive, and that was what mattered most.
His wife, Katelyn Brown, also shared an update and helped explain how serious the accident could have been. She said the ball had not slowed down after traveling a long distance, making the close-range impact especially frightening.
Katelyn added that the family received good news after CT scans. She said there were no internal injuries or skull fractures, and that the damage was mostly external with a minor concussion.
That update brought relief to fans who had been worried after hearing why Brown missed the Nashville concert. Many supporters flooded social media with messages wishing him a safe and quick recovery.
Brown’s missed performance also became part of a much bigger night at the Tight End University event. The concert still featured major appearances, including Taylor Swift, Lainey Wilson, Dan + Shay, and Chase Rice.
Country Living reported that Brown is still expected to continue his upcoming tour plans, though he chose to travel by bus instead of flying to his next performance so pressure would not affect his injured ear.
For fans, the accident was a scary reminder that even a normal day on the golf course can turn serious in seconds. Brown’s calm update made it clear he understood how close the situation came to being much worse.
Now, the focus is on his recovery. Kane Brown may have missed one major performance, but his message showed fans exactly where his mind was after the accident: grateful, shaken, and thankful to still be here.
