Vince Gill delivered a deeply emotional tribute to Dolly Parton during his August 27 concert at the Midland Theatre in Kansas City, just two days after the country music icon’s passing at age 80.
Gill chose to honor his longtime friend and collaborator with “I Will Always Love You,” a song that carried a particularly personal connection because he and Parton recorded their own duet version in 1995.
