The Voice Season 30 Announces Major Schedule Change as NBC Makes Room for NBA Games — Here’s When New Episodes Will Air

Fans of The Voice Season 30 will need to adjust their viewing schedules as NBC introduces a major programming change ahead of the competition’s highly anticipated Live Shows. After several weeks of Monday and Tuesday broadcasts, the popular singing competition is moving to a new weekly schedule, and the changes do not stop there.

Beginning Monday, October 19, The Voice will air just once a week instead of its previous two-night format. The adjustment comes as NBC prepares to expand its NBA coverage, with professional basketball games taking over the network’s Tuesday evening programming.

For viewers accustomed to watching new performances and eliminations twice a week, the change means waiting longer between episodes. However, NBC is maintaining the competition’s Monday-night presence as the remaining contestants battle for a place in the next stage.

The next episode is scheduled for Monday, October 19, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern Time and continuing until 10 p.m. The two-hour broadcast will feature more Battle Round performances, with coaches making difficult decisions about which singers deserve to advance.

Another episode is expected to air on Monday, October 26, continuing the competition’s transition toward the next phase. Viewers who miss the television broadcasts can catch up through Peacock, where new episodes are available the following day.

But the move to Monday-only broadcasts is not the only significant change. Beginning in November, The Voice is also preparing to adjust its evening time slot as the competition enters a newly introduced stage called Cut Week.

The November 2 episode is expected to begin at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, one hour later than the show’s October broadcasts. Fans should check updated television listings for the confirmed duration, as the network’s November programming arrangement differs from its earlier schedule.

Cut Week represents one of the most notable format changes of Season 30. Instead of following the traditional Knockout and Playoff structure, the competition will use a new elimination process designed to determine which contestants reach the Live Shows.

Following the Battle Rounds, each coach will have seven remaining artists. Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Riley Green, and Queen Latifah will each select two singers to advance directly to the Live Shows, giving those contestants an important advantage.

The other five artists on each team will then compete for one additional position. This means every coach will face difficult choices as talented performers fight to remain in the competition, with only a limited number of opportunities available.

An additional wildcard contestant will be selected through America’s vote, bringing the Live Show lineup to 13 singers. The format introduces another opportunity for viewers to influence the outcome before the competition reaches its final stages.

The Live Shows will also introduce an important voting change. Performances and eliminations are planned for the same night, allowing audiences to discover the results without waiting for a separate elimination episode. Voting is expected to be available through text messaging and TikTok, giving fans a more immediate role in determining which singers survive.

With a new Monday-only schedule, a later November start time, and a completely different path to the Live Shows, The Voice Season 30 is entering one of its most important stretches. The next episode arrives Monday, October 19, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, while the November programming changes promise even more adjustments. For fans following their favorite contestants, keeping track of the new schedule will be essential as the competition moves closer to its winner.
