America’s Got Talent has introduced a brand-new Judges’ Callbacks round for Season 21, adding an extra stage to the competition before the Live Shows begin.
Following the audition rounds, selected contestants return for another opportunity to impress the judges as they compete for one of the limited places in the Live Shows.
Unlike previous seasons, the new format gives the judging panel additional time to evaluate the remaining acts before making their final decisions.
During Judges’ Callbacks, performers are asked to showcase their talent once again, allowing the judges to compare standout acts more closely and assess who is truly ready for the next stage.
The round is designed to help narrow the field as the competition becomes increasingly intense, with only 16 Live Show spots available.
Golden Buzzer recipients automatically advance to the Live Shows, while many other contestants must earn their place through the callback process.
The judges carefully review each performance, considering factors such as growth, consistency, originality, stage presence, and overall potential before making their selections.
The introduction of this additional round also gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at how some of the competition’s toughest decisions are made.
