Jourdan’s life story reads like a song—raw, soulful, and full of grit. Performing nightly on the streets of the French Quarter, from 8 p.m. until 2 or 3 in the morning, he hustles under the city lights not just for applause, but to support the two most important people in his life: his girlfriend and their son. “I sing until the cops tell me to move,” he said with a half-smile in his audition package. “It’s tough, but it’s how I take care of my family.
