Scotty McCreery and his wife Gabi are celebrating one of the sweetest milestones yet for their growing family.
The country singer and his longtime love recently marked the first birthday of their youngest son, Oliver “Ollie” Cooke McCreery, giving fans a rare new glimpse into life away from concerts and recording studios.
Ollie officially turned one on September 18, and Gabi later shared photos from the family celebration on October 8.
The pictures captured everything from birthday decorations to adorable moments between Ollie and his older brother, Merrick “Avery” McCreery.
The family chose an If You Give a Mouse a Cookie theme for the party, with decorations and a cake inspired by the children’s story.
One especially funny photo showed Ollie covered in birthday-cake mess while making an expression toward Avery.
Other pictures looked back at moments from Ollie’s first year, showing just how much the youngest McCreery has changed since his arrival.
Gabi accompanied the photos with an affectionate reflection on having spent an entire year with their youngest son.
The message made clear just how much happiness Ollie has brought into their home since Scotty and Gabi welcomed him in September 2025.
Ollie joined big brother Avery, who was born in October 2022.
That means the McCreery household now includes two young boys growing up together while their father continues one of country music’s busiest careers.
And Scotty hasn’t hidden how important fatherhood has become.
Although fans originally met him as a teenage contestant on American Idol, the singer is now 32, married to his high-school sweetheart and raising two sons.
It is a dramatically different life from the one viewers first saw when he walked into his Idol audition at only 16 years old.
That makes the timing of Ollie’s milestone particularly meaningful.
2026 also marks Scotty’s 15th anniversary as a recording artist.
To celebrate, he released the retrospective album 15 on July 17, combining nine songs from his career with four newly recorded tracks.
The project gave Scotty an opportunity to look back on everything that has happened since American Idol changed his life.
He has said those 15 years sometimes feel as though they passed incredibly quickly, while at other times his original audition feels like another lifetime.
Considering everything that has happened since then, it is easy to understand why.
Scotty won American Idol Season 10 at only 17 and went on to become the first country artist — and youngest male artist of any genre at the time — to debut a first studio album at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
His career now includes seven No. 1 country hits, including “Bottle Rockets,” “Cab in a Solo,” “Damn Strait,” “You Time,” “In Between,” “This Is It” and “Five More Minutes.”
“Bottle Rockets,” featuring Hootie & The Blowfish, also became his first No. 1 hit in Canada and has been certified Platinum.
Scotty reached another lifelong milestone in 2024 when he became a member of the Grand Ole Opry, with Josh Turner and Randy Travis taking part in his induction after Garth Brooks had previously surprised him with the invitation.
The 15 album even brings that story full circle.
Scotty teamed with Josh Turner to record a new version of “Your Man” — the song he famously sang during his original American Idol audition.
The album also includes new recordings of “Hello Darlin’,” “Why Me, Lord?” and the reflective original song “Been a Good Run.”
But amid all the career anniversaries, awards and hit records, the newest McCreery update isn’t about something happening onstage.
It is about a one-year-old eating birthday cake beside his big brother.
For longtime fans who first watched Scotty as a teenager chasing a country-music dream, those family photos provide a striking reminder of just how much his life has changed in 15 years.
He is still making records.
He is still touring.
But now some of his biggest milestones happen when the spotlight is nowhere around.
And this time, the celebration belonged completely to little Ollie.
