The Voice Season 30 is preparing for one of its most dramatic elimination rounds as Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah, and Riley Green finalize their teams for the competition’s first-ever Cut Week. With 28 contestants remaining and only 13 places available in the Live Shows, the pressure is growing for every coach. However, one surprising detail has already attracted attention, with Clarkson entering the next stage holding more four-chair-turn contestants than any other coach.
The Battle Rounds concluded on October 26, leaving each coach with a group of talented singers competing for the opportunity to advance. Under the new format, every team begins Cut Week with seven artists, including contestants who survived their Battles and singers acquired through Steals. While several performers have already established themselves as strong contenders, the limited number of available places means even some of the season’s most impressive vocalists could face elimination.
Kelly Clarkson enters Cut Week with Anna McElroy, Brianna Cameron, Brooklyn Marie, Koumba Diallo, Kyle Davis, Nina Howland, and Marcus Ladden Jr., whom she acquired through a Steal. What makes her team particularly impressive is the presence of three four-chair-turn contestants: Diallo, Davis, and Howland. Their success during the Blind Auditions gives Clarkson a remarkable collection of vocal talent, but it also creates an extremely difficult decision as she prepares to reduce her team to just three singers.
Adam Levine has assembled an equally competitive lineup featuring Amanda Mikkel, Connor Closs, Dakota Cohen, Evan James, Lexi Stephens, Owen Uffens, and stolen contestant Brandon Diaz. Two of his artists, Mikkel and Stephens, earned four-chair turns during the Blind Auditions. Stephens has already attracted considerable attention following her extraordinary Battle Round performance against Marilyn Hucek, with Levine expressing strong confidence that she possesses the talent to become one of his finalists.
Queen Latifah’s Cut Week team consists of Alt Bloom, Big Country, Bryan James, Chari, Lillie Kolich, Mia Knight, and Destinee Monroe, who joined through a dramatic Steal. Chari and Kolich both secured four-chair turns during the Blind Auditions, while Knight impressed the coaching panel with her breathtaking performance of “Never Enough” against Sophia Liano. With several distinctive voices competing for limited opportunities, Latifah faces the challenge of selecting the three singers she believes have the strongest potential.
Rookie coach Riley Green enters the next stage with Allie Rae, Cade Mower, Everett Bounds, Ferryn and Brinkley Wright, Joe Henley, Keiyana Osmond, and Kayleigh Matthews. Two of his acts, Mower and the Wright sisters, earned four-chair turns, establishing themselves as notable contenders early in the season. Mower has already received enthusiastic praise from the coaches, while Green’s broader lineup combines traditional country influences with different musical styles.
Among the four teams, Clarkson holds the largest number of four-chair-turn contestants with three, while Levine, Latifah, and Green each have two. Although earning four chair turns represents an impressive achievement during the Blind Auditions, it does not guarantee a place in the Live Shows. The coaches must now consider each singer’s development, consistency, musical identity, and ability to deliver under pressure before making their final selections.
Cut Week introduces a major change to the competition by replacing the traditional Knockout Rounds and Playoffs with one demanding elimination stage. Each coach will initially select two contestants to advance directly to the Live Shows. The five remaining artists on each team must then compete for one final available position, meaning only three singers from each group of seven will secure advancement through their coach’s decisions.
However, the new format includes another unexpected twist that gives viewers an opportunity to influence the outcome. After the coaches select their three contestants, the public will vote one additional singer into the Live Shows, expanding the lineup from 12 to 13 performers. This means one coach will enter the next stage with four contestants, while the remaining three coaches will have three each. By the end of the elimination process, 15 singers will leave the competition, making Cut Week one of the season’s most demanding challenges.
The historic Cut Week episode is scheduled to air on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 9 to 11 p.m. Eastern Time on NBC, with streaming available on Peacock the following day. As Clarkson, Levine, Latifah, and Green prepare to make their toughest decisions, the competition remains unpredictable despite the impressive achievements of several contestants. With Clarkson holding the most four-chair-turn singers and every team facing major eliminations, the upcoming round could dramatically reshape the race toward The Voice Season 30 finale.
