Back in 2005, at Blossom Music Center in Cleveland, Ohio, country music legend Toby Keith did something extraordinary—something that still brings people to tears nearly two decades later.
In the middle of a packed concert, Keith paused the show for a very special announcement. His voice softened as he spoke to the crowd about the incredible work of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
“There’s a lot of great foundations in this country that do a lot of things for people less fortunate than us,” Keith said. “Make-A-Wish Foundation has asked me… to make a young man’s dream come true tonight. My Make-A-Wish gift to this kid is what he wanted done. He wants to sing this song with me.”

“He is doing very well,” the father wrote. “Ten years post transplant and is an aspiring law student currently.”
